Sherwin-Williams protective coatings provide next-generation technologies

A few days ago, Sherwin-Williams protection and ships have introduced rapid curing technology, which greatly reduces the application time and labor cost of steel structure protection. Sherwin-Williams Envirolastic 2500 system has the same color and gloss retention as polyurethane topcoats. It can be used as a single or multiple topcoat systems. Compared with traditional double-pack topcoat systems, it can improve workshop productivity.

Sherwin-Williams Protection and Marine Product Manager Alex Sandilands said: "The Envirolastic 2500 system combines the best performance of a two- or three-layer steel protection system while taking production capacity to a new level."

Customers in the European market can pass ISO 12944: 2018 independently certified Envirolastic 2500, which provides asset owners in the region with long-lasting corrosion protection for up to 25 years.

Polyaspartic acid direct metal coatings also have long-lasting UV stability and low volatile organic compound content. This makes Envirolastic 2500 an ideal coating for a range of infrastructure projects, including stadiums, bridges and highways, large manufacturing plants, port machinery and commercial buildings.

In addition to the infrastructure field, Envirolastic 2500 is also suitable for various applications in the mining, oil and gas industries, such as process vessels, storage tanks and biomass plants.
