Hempel Acquired Breakthrough Coating Technology!
The well-known paint supplier Hempel acquired a breakthrough technology that will change the thermal insulation coating market, which can simultaneously improve worker safety and reduce customers' environmental footprint.
Hempel acquired a unique technology developed by Das Lack Enertherm (DLE), a German-British joint venture. Combined with the company's internal expertise, this technology will help Haihong elderly to develop and launch coating products with thermal insulation properties in the future.
The acquisition is part of Hempel's new "Double Impact" strategy. The new strategy aims to double revenue to 3 billion euros by 2025 and establish a leading position in the energy sector.
This strategy will be achieved through acquisitions and organic growth, as well as grand investments in sustainability, innovation and digitalization. Through this acquisition, we take further action to implement our new strategy and ensure our position as a global leader in the energy sector.
Significant increase in customer revenue
"Through this technology acquisition, we are now able to penetrate into the thermal insulation coatings market and bring new business opportunities for Haihong elderly people. This is an important step in the'Double Impact' strategy, which is conducive to our corrosion under insulation (CUI), The thermal insulation market is in a leading position." said Martin Wiese, head of the industrial and protective paint business.
