Satellite Chemical plans to flex the acrylic plant in Jiaxing

On January 10, Satellite Chemical's 150,000-ton methyl acrylate/ethyl acrylate flexible device technical transformation project located in Jiaxing South Lake carried out the environmental impact assessment acceptance stage. Satellite Chemical plans to invest 252 million yuan to reconstruct the current device. These include:

(1) The 20,000 tons/year isooctyl acrylate plant in the first phase of the original acrylic acid and ester production unit was dismantled and transformed into an 80,000 tons/year methyl acrylate/ethyl acrylate plant;

(2) The 40,000 tons/year ethyl acrylate plant in the original acrylic acid and ester phase II production unit was renovated and expanded to a 70,000 tons/year methyl acrylate/ethyl acrylate plant;

(3) At the same time, a new set of 2t/h waste liquid incinerator is used to treat the waste liquid of acrylic acid and ester equipment recombination, and the existing 1.2t/h waste liquid incinerator is changed to a standby furnace.

After the completion of the project, the plant will have a flexible production capacity of 150,000 tons of methyl acrylate/ethyl acrylate, and the two sets of flexible units will be switched for production.
