Hansen promotes heat-stable curcumin to overcome formula odor
Recently, Hansen Natural Colors launched a rich color food FruitMax Yellow 1000 WSS.
Hansen said that the natural product comes from turmeric, but it effectively overcomes the peculiar smell of turmeric. Because turmeric has photosensitivity, this product is suitable for a variety of non-transparent packaged foods such as candy, ice cream, snacks, bakery products and meals.
Jerome Raudin, Global Marketing Director of Hansen, said: “We have thoroughly tested the stability of FruitMax Yellow 1000 WSS and the results are very satisfactory. This product is widely used, but ice cream, hard candies, brioche and puffed snacks are most suitable. Because FruitMax Yellow 1000 WSS is very stable to temperature."
Taking into account regulatory factors, Europe, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region may be the core markets for FruitMax Yellow 1000 WSS. It fully complies with the EU Coloring Food Guidelines and is therefore a clean label turmeric extract.
