Conference of Suppliers to Construction Chemicals Industry Held in Mumbai
The Construction Chemicals Manufacturers’ Association (CCMA) recently organised the 3rd edition of ‘International Conference of Suppliers to Construction Chemicals Industry of India (SCC)’ in Mumbai. The event brought together key technical and commercial stakeholders from the construction chemicals (CC) industry as well as the suppliers to the CC industry.
In his presentation, CCMA President Mr. Nilotpol Kar briefing the delegates about the opportunities and challenges in the CC industry. Experts also discussed the topic of ‘Make in India – A reality in construction chemicals’ while technical presentations focused on materials and machinery available to the CC industry. The highlight of the conference were two panel discussions on “The role of construction chemicals in durable infrastructure development” and on “Value of innovations in construction chemicals industry in India today”.
During the event, Mr. Samir Surlaker, ex-MD of MC-Bauchemie (India) Pvt. Ltd. and a known expert in the CC industry, was conferred ‘Honorary Membership’ of CCMA in re-cognition of his contributions to the industry over the past 40 years. CCMA now has over 60 members comprising CC manufacturers and suppliers who collaborate to spread awareness and focus on right use of construction chemicals. CCMA aims at standardising and marking CC products to give confidence to end users and the construction industry.
