According to the official website of the National Bureau of Statistics on the 9th, in August 2020, the national factory prices for industrial producers fell by 2.0% year-on-year and increased by 0.3% month-on-month; the purchasing prices for industrial producers fell by 2.5% year-on-year and increased by 0.6% month-on-month. On average from January to August, the ex-factory price of industrial producers fell by 2.0% over the same period last year, and the purchase price of industrial producers fell by 2.7%.

Among the ex-factory prices of industrial producers, the prices of means of production fell by 3.0% year-on-year, and the rate of decline narrowed by 0.5 percentage points from the previous month, affecting the overall level of industrial producers' ex-factory prices by about 2.19 percentage points. Among them, the price of extractive industry fell by 5.8%, the price of raw material industry fell by 6.4%, and the price of processing industry fell 1.4%. The price of subsistence materials rose by 0.6% year-on-year, and the increase rate was 0.1 percentage point lower than the previous month, affecting the overall increase in the factory price of industrial producers by about 0.15 percentage point. Among them, food prices rose 3.1%, clothing prices fell 1.3%, general daily necessities fell 0.4%, and durable consumer goods prices fell 1.5%.

In the Industrial Producer Purchasing Price (IPI), the price of fuel and power dropped by 9.8%, the price of chemical raw materials dropped by 8.4%, the price of ferrous metal materials dropped by 0.5%; the price of agricultural and sideline products rose by 6.3%, non-ferrous metal materials and wires The price rose by 2.9%.

Among the ex-factory prices of industrial producers, the prices of the means of production rose by 0.4%, a decrease of 0.1 percentage point from the previous month, which affected the overall increase in the ex-factory prices of industrial producers by about 0.26 percentage points. Among them, the price of mining and quarrying industry rose by 1.6%, the price of raw material industry by 0.5%, and the price of processing industry by 0.2%. The price of means of subsistence rose by 0.1%, the same rate of increase as last month, affecting the overall increase in the ex-factory price of industrial producers by about 0.02%. Among them, food prices rose 0.2%, clothing prices fell 0.2%, general daily necessities prices rose 0.5%, and durable consumer goods prices fell 0.4%.

Among the purchasing prices of industrial producers, the prices of non-ferrous metal materials and wires increased by 2.9%, the prices of ferrous metal materials increased by 1.6%, the prices of agricultural and sideline products increased by 0.8%, and the prices of fuel and power increased by 0.4%; construction materials and non-metallic materials The price fell by 0.2%.
