BASF's new coating anti-aging technology

BASF launched the innovative DURA-COLOR coating anti-aging technology, which can protect the coating for a long time and prevent it from aging. This revolutionary technology aims to improve the durability of exterior wall coatings, especially in terms of color retention and appearance cleanliness.

Exterior wall coatings are exposed to sunlight, rain, dust and various pollutants every day, and these factors tend to accelerate the aging of the coatings. Refurbishment is one of the ways to give a building a new lease of life. However, the cost of house renovation is high, the process is complicated, and it will increase overall carbon emissions. As an expert in all-round construction solutions, BASF is committed to developing high-quality coating dispersions to meet these challenges.

BASF's DURA-COLOR technology contains three key innovative elements, namely the use of sequence controlled polymerization, specific cross-linking methods and optimal reaction control. Polymer coatings based on these two revolutionary innovative technical elements can achieve excellent color retention, stain resistance, weathering resistance and alkali resistance.

Acronal® EDGE 7686 and Acronal® EDGE 7685 are new products under BASF's DURA-COLOR technology combination. They are suitable for a variety of raw material formulations and have a wide range of compatibility. They are especially suitable for color coating systems and provide a flexible color space for the final coating. Acronal EDGE 7686 can provide excellent durability and stain resistance for advanced exterior wall coatings, while Acronal EDGE 7685 provides high-performance formulations at a lower cost.
