Nestle Sweet Earth launches 100% plant-based cheeseburger
Sweet Earth, Nestlé's plant-based brand, announced the launch of its first 100% plant-based cheeseburger, Plant-Based (PB) Triple Play, targeting foodservice B-side customers. It is reported that the burger is jointly developed by Sweet Earth's culinary team and Nestlé's R&D department, in which the cheese slices are made from a proprietary blend of plant fibers.
Nestle acquired Sweet Earth Foods in 2017. Since the acquisition the business has introduced a variety of plant-based applications.
