Nestlé's third-quarter sales revenue exceeds 60 billion Swiss francs

2020-10-23

On October 21, Nestlé released its quarterly report showing organic growth of 3.5% with sales revenue of CHF 61,912 million in the first nine months. While organic growth in China is still down, growth in China has turned positive in the third quarter.

Nestlé reported organic growth of 3.5% in the third quarter, with real internal growth of 3.3% and a pricing contribution of 0.2%, and organic growth improved to 4.9% in the third quarter. In the developed markets, organic growth was 3.9%, based entirely on real internal growth. Emerging markets grew 2.8%, supported by positive real internal growth and pricing contribution.

According to the announcement, Nestlé's sales growth was driven by continued growth in the Americas and continued strong sales growth in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. Growth in Asia, Oceania and Sub-Saharan Africa improved slightly.

It is worth mentioning that the Asia Pacific region, where Nestlé China is located, achieved revenues of 15.251 billion Swiss francs in the first nine months, with organic growth flat. As far as China is concerned, organic growth was still down in the first three quarters, but Nestlé China revealed that revenue growth in the Chinese market had turned positive in the third quarter.
