Dow & Luhai Environmental Protection Launches China's Plastics Circular Economy

On September 22, Dow Company and Xiamen Luhai Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. The land-sea environmental waste management business is committed to waste collection and recycling in China, especially various post-consumer plastics. At present, Luhai Environmental Protection mainly focuses on collecting household recyclable waste from Fujian Province, and plans to expand its business to other cities in China.

Through this strategic cooperation, Dow will use its expertise in material science and application development to process plastic waste collected by land and sea environmental protection, and develop new circular economy solutions for the Asia-Pacific market.

Dow is committed to separating plastic waste from the environment in order to protect the ecosystem on which local communities depend. Through this cooperation, Dow will demonstrate its value by showing different packaging applications of recycled plastics, and ultimately promote the recycling and utilization of post-consumer plastics in local communities.

According to the data, Luhai Environmental Protection's regeneration processing center in Zhangzhou is a national resource recycling base, covering an area of more than 130 acres. It has the country's leading solid waste recycling processing technology and has established a production process that combines automation and human engineering control. . The base handles 150,000 tons of solid waste annually. The main products are recycled plastics, recycled paper pulp, biomass fuel pellets, etc.
