On November 16, 2022, Beijing time, the Estee Lauder Group announced the acquisition of the American designer brand Tom Ford for US$2.8 billion (approximately RMB 19.724 billion), and the acquisition of Tom Ford's ready-to-wear, accessories and beauty businesses.

Estee Lauder Group is headquartered in New York City, the United States, with production facilities in the United States, Belgium, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan and Canada, and employs more than 20,000 people worldwide. According to the Estee Lauder Group's financial report for the third quarter of fiscal year 2017. The group's net sales were US$2.86 billion, an increase of 8% over the same period in 2016; net sales were US$3.21 billion, a net sales increase of 5%.Estee Lauder Group ranked 360th among Fortune Global 500 companies.
