Suez Acquires Sichuan Industrial Wastewater Treatment Project
Suez announced that the company and its partner, Sichuan Dayi Water, recently jointly completed the acquisition of the sewage treatment plant project in Meishan Kimchi Park, and was awarded a 30-year franchise by the local government to provide professional and high-quality industrial sewage treatment services, promoting the park and Green Development of Meishan City.
According to reports, the Meishan Kimchi Industrial Park, located on the east bank of the Minjiang River in Sichuan Province, is one of the largest food-based kimchi industrial parks in China with the most complete functions and the latest technology. After the acquisition, SUEZ and Sichuan Dayi Water jointly took over the operation and management of the first phase of the sewage treatment plant in Meishan Kimchi Park, providing safe, stable and high-quality industrial sewage treatment services for enterprises in the park. The current daily processing capacity of the first phase of the sewage treatment plant is 19,800 cubic meters. According to the development needs, the second and third phases of the project will also be carried out. At that time, the total treatment scale will reach 50,000 cubic meters per day.
With its experience and advantages in industrial park management, SUEZ will greatly improve the stability and reliability of the project's sewage treatment system. The project will also produce alternative water to reduce the consumption of water resources. About 280,000 cubic meters of alternative water will be used as flushing water for the sewage treatment system every year.
