Shandong Independent Refineries’ Operating Rates Kept Slipping
According to SCI, the average operating rate of CDUs at Shandong independent refineries was 63.66% as of May 23, down 1.25% week-on-week.
Zibo Xintai Petrochemical shut down its units for maintenance this week. It is scheduled that the units will be restarted in late June. Therefore, the average operating rate of CDUs at Shandong independent refineries slipped down.
In June, some refineries plan to shut down their units for maintenance, such as Yongxin Chemical and Hengyuan Petrochemical. All in all, the average operating rate of CDUs at Shandong independent refineries will be stable-to-slipping.
SCI updated the methodologies of the operating rate of Shandong independent refineries’ CDUs at the end of the third quarter of 2017. A total of 38 independent refineries are sampled in the methodologies. The CDU capacity at the 38 independent refineries is 139.6 million mt/a.
