ECHEMI 2026-06-12

June 11th, news:

I. Price Trends

According to the commodity market analysis system, as of June 11, the reference average price for 85% industrial thermal process phosphoric acid in China was 10,925 CNY/ton, an increase of 5.30% from the reference average price of 10,375 CNY/ton on June 1.

II. Market Analysis

Market Conditions

In early June, the market price of phosphoric acid showed a strong upward trend. With the strengthening of raw materials such as yellow phosphorus and sulfur, the cost pressure increased, leading to a rise in the price of phosphoric acid following the high prices of raw materials. The operating rates of enterprises remained stable, with downstream buyers purchasing according to their needs, and transactions were mainly negotiated on a case-by-case basis. Currently, the market sentiment is still bullish. As of June 11, the market quotation for 85% industrial thermal phosphoric acid in China was around 10,500-12,200 CNY/ton, and the market quotation for 85% wet-process phosphoric acid in China was around 10,800-12,800 CNY/ton.

Cost aspect

In early June, the market prices of raw materials such as yellow phosphorus and sulfur showed an upward trend. Recently, the price of sulfur has risen significantly, and by June 10, the price of sulfur had already exceeded 10,000 yuan. Currently, the global supply of sulfur is tight, and the gap between supply and demand continues to widen, with port inventory volumes declining. The increase in the price of wet-process phosphoric acid has driven up the prices of thermal-process phosphoric acid and yellow phosphorus.

III. Future Market Forecast

Phosphate analysts believe that the recent trend in the phosphate market in China has been mainly upward. The increase in costs has driven up phosphate prices, and the market remains bullish. It is expected that phosphate prices in China will continue to rise strongly in the short term.
