The value added of chemical raw materials and products manufacturing increased by 7.8% year-on-year in January-February
According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on March 15, the value-added of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 2.4% year-on-year in the January-February period. Among them, the added value of the manufacturing of chemical raw materials and chemical products increased by 7.8%.
In the first two months of this year, mining added value rose 4.7% year on year, manufacturing 2.1% and electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply 2.4%.
By economic type, from January to February, the added value of state-owned holding enterprises increased by 2.7% year on year; The number of joint-stock enterprises increased by 4.3%, while the number of foreign-invested enterprises and those invested by Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan enterprises decreased by 5.2%. Private companies grew 2.0 percent.
From January to February, the added value of 22 industries out of 41 major categories maintained year-on-year growth. That of the agricultural and sideline food processing industry grew by 0.3 percent; the manufacturing of wine, beverages and refined tea decreased by 0.3 percent; the textile industry decreased by 3.5 percent; the manufacturing of chemical raw materials and chemical products increased by 7.8 percent; and the manufacturing of non-metallic mineral products increased by 0.7 percent. Ferrous metal smelting and calendering industry grew by 5.9 percent, non-ferrous metal smelting and calendering industry by 6.7 percent, general equipment manufacturing by 1.3 percent, special equipment manufacturing by 3.9 percent, automobile manufacturing by 1.0 percent, and railway, shipping, aerospace and other transportation equipment manufacturing by 9.7 percent. Electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing increased by 13.9 percent, computer, communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing decreased by 2.6 percent, and electricity and heat production and supply increased by 2.3 percent.
By product, 269 out of 620 items saw year-on-year growth in output from January to February. 206.23 million tons of steel, up 3.6% year on year; Cement 19.855 million tons, down 0.6%; Ten kinds of non-ferrous metals reached 11.92 million tons, up 9.8%; Ethylene was 5.08 million tons, down 1.7%; The number of automobiles was 3.653 million, down by 14.0 percent, of which 97.0 million were new-energy vehicles, up by 16.3 percent; The electricity output was 1,349.7 billion KWH, up 0.7%; The amount of crude oil processed was 116.07 million tons, up by 3.3%.
From January to February, the sales rate of industrial enterprises was 95.8%, down 1.7 percentage points year on year; Industrial enterprises achieved export delivery value of 2,161.4 billion yuan, a nominal decline of 4.9%.
