Solvay launches bio-based heat damage protection product
On March 10, Solvay announced the launch of Polycare Heat Therapy, a new functional active ingredient. This non-ecotoxic, dual-derivatized cationic guar gum active ingredient follows the global trend for bio-based and silicone-free solutions in the hair care sector.
According to Stephanie Neplaz, Solvay's global innovative hair care marketing director, the new active ingredient helps protect hair from heat damage caused by high-temperature equipment such as hair straighteners, curling irons and hair dryers.
