A leak at a Dow Chemical plant

soutuliao 2023-03-30

Between 8, 100 and 12, 000 gallons of a solution used to treat latex surfaces spilled into the Delaware River late Monday at a Dow Chemical Co. chemical plant in Bristol.

Bucks County health officials said the water-soluble acrylic polymer contained in the solution is not harmful to humans, and no adverse health effects have been reported to authorities.

More than half of Philadelphia's population of 1.5 million could be affected by the spill, the Insider reported, citing an official map of the potential contamination.
