Dow's sustainable transportation solutions unveiled
Dow fully demonstrated new energy vehicle battery solutions at the Korean Battery Exhibition that closed on March 17. With its innovative materials and advanced technologies such as high-performance silicone foam materials, EPDM rubber, heat-responsive materials and adhesives, Dow will continue to bring safer and lower-carbon solutions to the transportation industry, helping Industry transformation and upgrading.
The silicone foam material innovatively developed by Dow has low thermal conductivity and heat resistance, and can provide long-term and stable fire protection for different types of batteries in the event of thermal runaway, fully ensuring driving safety. Dow's thermally conductive materials displayed at the exhibition have a wide range of viscosity and thermal conductivity options, which can provide reliable cooling solutions for engines, transmission control units, on-board chargers, battery packs or modules. In addition, ELECURE heat-responsive materials can be used in the production and processing of lithium-ion battery separators to reduce the risk of thermal runaway at high temperatures and improve battery performance and safety. VORATRON adhesive, potting and caulking materials with lightweight advantages provide battery packs with excellent fire resistance, shock absorption and heat insulation structures, and are easy to customize and support high-speed assembly, greatly improving production and processing efficiency .
Dow MobilityScience President Peng Ruisi said: "The development of intelligence and electrification in the global transportation field has promoted the industry's demand for innovative materials, especially materials with low carbon footprints and recyclable materials. In response to global trends, help customers and partners For green transformation, Dow provides users with more efficient and customized one-stop solutions based on its century-old experience and technical expertise in the transportation field, and empowers the sustainable development of the transportation field with material science expertise."
