Ihara introduced thesoybean fungicide Sugoy (Chlorothalonil +Inpyrfluxam+ Metominostrobin) in Brazil to improve resistance management
Ihara recently introduced Sugoy, a fungicide,to control major diseases of soybean crops. According to theintroduction, the effective ingredient of the product is Chlorothalonil +Inpyrfluxam+ Metominostrobin, It promises torevolutionize Phakopsora pachyrhizi, Corynespora cassiicola, Colletotrichumtruncatum and Microsphaera’s Administration of diffusa.
Ihara said Sugoyrepresents an innovative technology that shows high performance in controllingmajor crop diseases. With Sugoy, farmers will for thefirst time rely on a single product to fight rust, brown spot, anthracnose andpowdery mildew with overwhelming force.
IHARA's regional marketing manager Roberto Rodrigues Jr. expressed that Sugoy ensures widespread and effective control of major leaf diseases in crops at thesame time. This unique solution also brings anumber of advances in application that will reduce errors in the formulation of mixtures and has other advantages that directly increase productivity and profitability. Another key point is that Sugoy alsocontains a protective agent, which has never been available on the market andcontributes more to resistance management."
Robert Rodriguez Jr. highlighted Sugoy as thet echnology solution with the broadest range of targets registered for soybeansin the Brazilian market. Soybean producers are particularlyfocused on controlling fungi and dfc(periodic diseases), with fungicides accounting for 25 percent of soybean growers' total pesticide expenditure in thelast harvest. Until now, growers have had to usespecific products for each of the four main targets, meaning an average of 4.8applications of fungicides.
"The emergence and rapid spread of Asian rust to Brazilian soybean crops required decisive action by farmers," Rodriguez said. However, while prioritizing control of this goal, the incidence of other leaf diseases willgradually increase. "Having a complete andeffective solution like Sugoy, both in terms of morbidity and preventivemanagement, is an innovation that provides more utility and efficiency for improving crop health and productivity."
