Cosmetic customization and personalization: The key to the new trend in cosmetic ingredient markets
The vitality ignited by the cosmetics industry comes with the spring of 2023.
Recently, the first raw material festival of the Chinese cosmetics industry this year quietly kicked off in Guangzhou, China. The Global Personal Care and Home-care Ingredients Exhibition(PCHI), a global cosmetics ingredient event was held as scheduled after two years, with over 700 international exhibitors bringing their branded ingredients to the exhibition.
Among them, customized cosmetic ingredients have begun to raise its speed of innovation. Due to the influence of social media as the mainstream marketing environment, the process of brand building products has undergone significant changes, transitioning from product development and promotion to social media channel oriented product development. As a result, the needs of the brand side have significantly shifted forward, paying more attention to the content capabilities of upstream suppliers, and striving to find stronger data support in raw materials for product positioning and promotion, known as efficacy traceability. Therefore, many brands have started to have their own ideas on the use of raw materials.
In addition to the customized services provided by international raw material manufacturers such as BASF, companies from China such as Freda have also proposed core ingredient customization services to customize personalized ingredients for customers.
Furthermore, with the rise of raw materials in the global cosmetics market, many brands are paying more attention to the integration of skincare aesthetics in appearance and efficacy. The era of beauty products has also arrived, and different forms of packaging technology have also attracted the interest of exhibitors.
