Saraswati Group launches new insecticide SA-IMIDAN in India in partnership with Gowan

India's Saraswati Group has launched a new insecticide, SA-IMIDAN (50% Phosmet), for the Indian market through its Saraswati Agro Life Science, in collaboration with global agrochemical company Gowan.

Phosmet is a class of organophosphorus insecticides, which can be used to control pests on various ornamental plants and crops (including alfalfa, fruits and vegetables). SA-IMIDAN is a broad spectrum, environmentally friendly and biosafe insecticide. The product helps farmers maintain maximum crop yields and can be used in capsicum, cotton and paddy to control aphids, thrips, drosophila, leafhopper, aphids, whitefly, cotton bollworm, borers and leaf roller.

Saraswati Group initially grew through pesticide formulation in Punjab, India, promoting high-tech formulation products and cooperating with large multinational companies such as Bayer and Aventis to lay a solid foundation for quality and safety.

Saraswati Agro Life Science was established in 2019-2020 to launch agro-chemicals under the corporate brand SALS, committed to active field visits and research before new products are promoted. The company aims to develop innovative farming methods that improve soil quality and contribute to sustainable development. SALS has prompted the group to make progress in the agricultural sector, with nearly 30 own-brand plant protection products, a number that will increase to more than 40 by the end of 2023.
