Syngenta (France) will launch Aquicine Duo, a new wheat fungicide, in 2024
Syngenta (France) will offer grain growers a unique combination of two biocontrol ingredients, AQUICINE® Duo (Sulfur + Phosphonate), with complementary modes of action to protect wheat from Septoria. Syngenta (France) has thus established itself as an innovative leader in the biological solutions market. AQUICINE®Duo will be available in 2024.
AQUICINE® Duo is a natural ready-to-use formulation that combines two biological control ingredients and offers a complementary mode of action: contains sulfur that acts by contact, and Phosphonates that activate natural defense mechanisms. At present, no disease resistance to these two components has been found, which can be used for resistance control. Because AQUICINE® Duo has a multi-site mode of action, it is effective and durable in preventing straw and grain diseases.
AQUICINE® Duo benefits from HPM technology, developed and patented by Ceradis®, which combines Phosphonate with sulfur. This new biological control product has excellent scour resistance, mix compatibility, and is easy to prepare and spray
AQUICINE®Duo meets new social and environmental expectations as a new 100% biocontrol fungicide that can help farmers effectively control Septoriawhile reducing TFI. According to a June 2022 study, more than two-thirds of farmers who have not yet used biological control solutions intend to start using such solutions in the next two years, confirming farmers' strong interest in biological control and their desire to transition to ecological agriculture.
