Westlake Acquires ACI's Composites Business to Expand Global Footprint
Specialty materials company Westlake Corporation has completed its acquisition of the global composites solutions business of the ACI/Perplastic Group, a Portugal-based specialty materials manufacturer serving the wire and cable industry.
“The integration of ACI with Westlake’s composites business represents a strong strategic fit and provides a significant opportunity to further strengthen our Housing and Infrastructure Products (HIP) business. This acquisition will expand Westlake Global Compounds’ reach and introduce new specialty products and advanced technologies into our portfolio,” said Jean-Marc Gilson, President and CEO of Westlake.
This move also expands Westlake Global Compounds’ manufacturing operations into Portugal, Romania, and Tunisia, complementing its existing operations in Mexico.
“ACI has built an impressive reputation for delivering innovative, high-value solutions,” said Maribel Wilson, Vice President of Global Compounds at Westlake. “We are delighted to welcome their outstanding team to Westlake and look forward to working with them.”
This acquisition marks a significant step in Westlake’s global expansion strategy and solidifies its position in the specialty materials market.
