Dow launches biodegradable dispersant for detergent
Dow, the world's leading material science company, participated in the American Institute of Cleaning (ACI) virtual summit held from January 25th to 29th and launched ACUSOL™ Prime 1 polymer during the forum, which is Dow’s first multifunctional, Biodegradable dispersant. Breakthrough innovations provide enhanced performance, superior convenience and safety for people and the environment, and set new standards for home care.
Since the introduction of automatic dishwashers 60 years ago, consumers have been demanding to maintain high brightness performance without affecting spots or film formation, but these solutions usually lack biodegradability. With ACUSOL™ Prime 1 polymer, Dow sets the standard for the future of dishwashing in two ways, launching a game-changing dispersant that can achieve multi-functionality and high performance while improving sustainability.
ACUSOL™ Prime 1 polymer also includes the following typical properties:
Solid content%: 41%
Appearance: clear to slightly turbid liquid
Density (under 25℃): 1.3kg/m3
PH (Provided): 5-7
Unlike the current minimally biodegradable dispersants, ACUSOL™ Prime 1 polymer contains more than 30% degradable carbon through the OECD 302B agreement. This polymer is Dow's first multifunctional dispersant on the market and protects tableware from all major deposits caused by hard water and food residues.
