The investment in the manufacturing of chemical raw materials and chemical products increased by 15.5% year on year in April
Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on May 16 showed that from January to April, China's fixed asset investment increased by 4.7% year on year to 1.478.2 trillion yuan. Among them, private investment in fixed assets was 7.957 billion yuan, up 0.4 percent year-on-year. On a month-on-month basis, fixed-asset investment (excluding rural households) fell 0.64 per cent in April.
By industry, the investment in the primary industry was 319.9 billion yuan, up 0.3% year-on-year; The investment in the secondary industry was 4,567.5 billion yuan, up 8.4%; Investment in the tertiary industry reached 9,860.9 billion yuan, up 3.1%.
In the secondary industry, industrial investment rose 8.3 percent year on year. Among them, investment in the mining industry fell 2.2 percent, investment in the manufacturing industry increased 6.4 percent, and investment in the electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industry increased 24.4 percent. Among them, investment in chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing increased 15.5% year on year.
Among the tertiary industries, infrastructure investment (excluding the production and supply of electricity, heat, gas and water) grew by 8.5% year on year. Among them, investment in railway transportation increased by 14.0%, investment in water conservancy management increased by 10.7%, investment in road transportation increased by 5.8%, and investment in public facilities management increased by 4.7%.
By region, investment in the eastern region increased by 6.2 percent year-on-year, investment in the central region decreased by 1.3 percent, investment in the western region increased by 3.2 percent, and investment in the northeastern region increased by 9.8 percent.
According to the type of registration, the fixed asset investment of domestic enterprises increased by 4.9 percent year-on-year, the fixed asset investment of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan enterprises decreased by 4.3 percent, and the fixed asset investment of foreign enterprises increased by 5.3 percent.
