In April, the value added of chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing increased by 7.5% year-on-year
In April, the value added of industrial enterprises above designated size rose 5.6 percent year-on-year in real terms, while it fell 0.47 percent month on month, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on May 16. Among them, the value added of chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing increased by 7.5% year on year.
In the three main categories, the value added of mining was flat in April from a year earlier, manufacturing was up 6.5 per cent and electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply was up 4.8 per cent.
By economic type, in April, the value added of state-owned holding enterprises increased by 6.6% year-on-year; The growth of joint-stock enterprises was 4.4 percent, and that of enterprises with foreign investment and investment from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan was 11.8 percent. The private sector grew 1.6 per cent.
By industry, in April, 25 of the 41 major categories of industry added value maintained year-on-year growth. Among them, the coal mining and washing industry decreased by 0.6%, the oil and gas mining industry increased by 5.5%, the agricultural and by-product food processing industry decreased by 1.6%, the wine, beverage and refined tea manufacturing industry increased by 2.0%, the textile industry decreased by 3.0%, the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry increased by 7.5%, and the non-metallic mineral products industry decreased by 0.6%. Ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry increased by 4.3%, non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry increased by 7.4%, general equipment manufacturing industry increased by 13.5%, special equipment manufacturing industry increased by 9.1%, automobile manufacturing industry increased by 44.6%, railway, ship, aerospace and other transportation equipment manufacturing industry increased by 9.5%. The manufacturing of electrical machinery and equipment grew by 17.3 percent, the manufacturing of computers, communications and other electronic equipment by 1.8 percent, and the production and supply of electricity and heat by 5.5 percent.
By product, the output of 358 out of 620 products increased year on year in April. Among them, steel 11.95 million tons, an increase of 5.0%; 19.392 million tons of cement, an increase of 1.4%; 6.04 million tons of 10 non-ferrous metals, up 6.1%; 2.74 million tons of ethylene, an increase of 17.9%; 2.208 million vehicles, up 59.8%, of which 586,000 were new energy vehicles, up 85.4%; Power generation was 658.4 billion KWH, up 6.1% year on year; Crude oil processing volume was 61.14 million tons, up 18.9 percent year on year.
In April, the product sales rate of industrial enterprises was 97.4%, up 0.7 percentage points year-on-year; Industrial enterprises achieved export delivery value of 1,141.3 billion yuan, a nominal increase of 0.7 percent year-on-year.
From January to April, the value added of industries above designated size increased by 3.6 percent year-on-year. Among them, the added value of chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing increased by 7.6%.
