Syngenta: Cyclobutrifluram will soon be the first in China

Recently, the Pesticide Inspection Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Areas publicized the relevant information of 12 new pesticide products applied for registration, including Cyclobutrifluram applied for registration by Syngenta Switzerland.

Cyclobutrifluram( Product name: Tymirium®) is a new type of succinate SDHI bactericide successfully launched by Syngenta for more than 10 years. It is the 5th SDHI bactericide/nematocide successfully launched by Syngenta

As a new nicotinamide bactericidal nematocide developed by Syngenta, Cyclobutrifluram can effectively control various nematodes and major fungal diseases. It is highly effective against root-node nematodes, beet sporocysts and corn brachysoma nematodes on crops such as cucumber, tomato, corn and beet. Soil treatment or seed treatment can be used for long-term control of nematodes and diseases in major crops and various environments.

Swiss Syngenta intends to register 86% of Cyclobutrifluram TK and 450 g/l Cyclobutrifluram SC in China, both products are low toxicity. Among them, 450 g/l Cyclobutrifluram suspension was registered to control tomato root nematode. On the day of crop transplantation, the recommended dose (0.006 ~ 0.012 ml/plant) was mixed with water for root application, the water consumption was not less than 200 ml/plant, and the application was maximum once per season.

Syngenta has applied for a compound patent based on Cyclobutrifluram, and has been authorized by China, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Japan, South Korea, the United States, Europe and other countries and regions. The Chinese patent: the application was filed on March 6, 2013, and expires on March 5, 2033; Name of invention: N-lactam as a nematocide.
