Cyclobutrifluram was expanded to cucumber, melon and ginger in China
Recently, Swiss Syngenta’s 450 g/l of Cyclobutrifluram SC products in China approved for expansion of registration, the new registered crops and control objects are root knot nematode of cucumber, melon, ginger .
For the control of cucumber and melon root nematode, the recommended application method is to irrigate the root at a dose of 0.006 ~ 0.012 ml/plant and add about 200 ml of water, and apply the medicine once evenly on the day of cucumber and melon transplantation, and apply it at most once per season. For the control of ginger root knot nematode, the recommended application method is trench application, with a dose of 30 ~ 37 ml/mu, applied once in the sowing and small soil preparation period, sprayed in the planting trench after dilution, covered the entire trench surface, and covered the soil after seeding, and applied up to 2 times per season. This is the first time that Cyclobutrifluram has been registered on cucumbers, melons and ginger in China.
Cyclobutrifluram is a new type of nematocidal agent of succinate dehydrogenase inhibitors. By inhibiting the activity of succinate dehydrogenase, it destroys ATP in the mitochondria of plant pathogenic nematodes and kills nematodes for control purposes. It was registered for the first time in China in October 2023, and the registered crops and control objects are tomato root-node nematodes.
GB 2763 has not specified the maximum residue limit standard for Cyclobutrifluram in Chinese food.
