Corteva launches two new products for soybean sterilization protection
Recently, Corteva Agri-Tech announced the launch of Viatude in the United States, expanding its portfolio of fungicides in the United States.
Viatude Fungicide is an all-in-one premix containing Onmira™ and Prothioconazole. The product provides farmers in the northern soybean producing states with a new solution to help protect their soybeans from white mold disease.
Corteva USA Product Manager for fungicides Clark Smith said, "White mold disease is one of the most important crop diseases facing soybean farmers in the Northern region, causing millions of dollars in lost production every year. Viatude is a new crop protection tool that prevents and treats soybean white mold, reduces disease infection, and allows soybeans to grow vigorously all year round, helping to prevent yield losses and protect profitability."
Viatude fungicide is characterized by rapid absorption and transfer. With four transport properties, Viatude fungicides rapidly surround, penetrate and protect leaves and stems to cover all parts of the plant, thereby strengthening the plant for higher yield potential. In addition, farmers can combine Viatude fungicides with Aproach fungicides for a two-application regimen to achieve robust year-round effectiveness, as well as other integrated pest management measures to help prevent disease resistance.
Viatude received federal regulatory approval in the United States in late 2022. Several major soybean producing states in the northern United States have also approved the new solution. In 2023, Viatude fungicide will be available in limited quantities to farmers in soybean producing areas in the northern United States, with additional supplies expected in these areas in 2024. In addition, Viatude is also labeled for use in rape.
Corteva Agri-Tech is committed to providing farmers with superior protective performance and strong planting confidence through an expanding portfolio of LumiGEN seed treatments. The new LumiTreo bactericidal seed treatment is a powerful, triple-action premixed fungicide with three effective modes of action against key early stage diseases to help farmers reach their full soybean yield potential.
Head of Seed Treatment category, Codihua Agri-Tech Brad Van Kooten says :This is because the ingredients of the LumiTreo fungicide seed treatment target Phytophthora soya, the number one disease in North America that causes significant soybean production losses.
Based on extensive trial studies conducted over three years at 256 sites across the United States, this new soybean seed treatment formula is proven to provide disease protection, field performance and plantability. LumiTreo fungicide seed treatments also help soybean seeds thrive in the new planting season by preventing common seedling diseases such as blight, seedling blight, and seed and root rot.
LumiTreo germicidal seed treatment will be available next spring.Through the Corteva production facility. And cooperate with seed treatment manufacturers to supply the market.
