AMVAC and NewLeaf Symbiotics deepen collaboration to expand global biologics market

2023-11-09

AMVAC, through its wholly owned subsidiary AMVAC Chemical Corporation, announced the expansion of its North American partnership with NewLeaf Symbiotics into key global markets. Building on a previous partnership announced at the end of 2022, AMVAC and NewLeaf will expand their collaboration to supply innovative biological solutions to Argentina, Brazil, Ukraine and China.

AMVAC® and NewLeaf Symbiotics® expand the North American crop market with new biologics products

By expanding the partnership, AMVAC will further expand its growing GreenSolutions™ biologics portfolio and help NewLeaf bring its unique PPFM technology to more markets. In this partnership, AMVAC will leverage its international market access, strong sales teams in Latin America and Ukraine, and operational expertise in the GreenSolutions™ biologics business. This international market expansion builds on Pioneer's introduction of BioWake™ dual-use biological seed treatment to the U.S. seed barrel market in 2023.

BioWake combines NewLeaf's microbial inoculant with Low Mu Tech's DUST soybean protein planter lubricant to provide growers with a safer and greener alternative to today's talc and graphite-based lubricants.

This collaboration can benefit from NewLeaf's unique microbial bank, established research capabilities, and existing products, including natural microbes that benefit crops throughout the growing season. NewLeaf's microbial inoculants strengthen crops and increase their resistance to abiotic stresses.

Bob Trogele, chief operating Officer and executive Vice President of AMVAC, said: "We have been working with NewLeaf for two years and have been able to see increased yields for soybeans and corn, as well as a significant return on investment for growers. NewLeaf's technology, combined with Low Mu Tech's soy-based seed lubricant, will help us market BioWake internationally."

″Brent Smith, President and CEO of NewLeaf Symbiotics, said, "We are excited to further deepen our partnership with AMVAC in the United States and beyond. We expect that BioWake with our PPFM technology will bring significant value to the field." With Pioneer's access to Central and South America, Ukraine and China, NewLeaf and Pioneer are poised for great success together."
