Beauty Tool Specialist Fromm International Acquired by Firelight Capital Partners
Investment firm Firelight Capital Partners has acquired beauty tool brand Fromm International. The company said the acquisition will further strengthen its position in the beauty market and accelerate the growth of brands including Chalk Couture.
Pat Collins, managing partner of Firelight Capital Partners, said he sees tremendous potential in the Fromm brand and is excited to build on its more than 100-year legacy of success.
Fromm International, founded in 1907 by the Simon-Johnson family, specializes in providing beauty tools, accessories and educational kits to beauty schools. The brand's current owners, Julie Simon Johnson and Kevin Johnson, will continue to own a stake in the company. Fromm President Kevin Barrett will also stay on and work alongside Firelight Capital Partners' newly appointed CEO Martin Okner.
Johnson said he is proud of Fromm International's achievements and looks forward to future development.
Firelight Capital Partners CEO and managing partner Rick Perkal said Firelight Capital Partners has extensive experience in beauty and high-end brands. This acquisition deepens the company's commitment to investing in consumer businesses with strong growth potential and believes Fromm will continue to thrive and innovate in the beauty industry.
