Cosmetic Solutions Provider MakeO Raises $16 Million from 360 ONE and More
Cosmetic solutions startup Makeo has raised $16 million in a new funding round led by 360 ONE Asset (formerly IIFL Wealth) and public market investor Ashish Kacholia, investors including Eight Roads Ventures and South Korea’s Paramark Ventures also participated in this round of financing.The company said it plans to use the proceeds to expand its footprint in India and add more experience centers. The company had raised US$40 million in funding in May 2022.
The company created a family brand Makeo in 2022 to diversify into a clinical-grade solution provider for skin, smile and hair transformation. Sub-brands include Toothsi and skinnsi.
"Our mission is to ensure that clinical-grade transformations are more accessible, affordable and convenient for every Indian. This funding will enable us to strengthen our online and offline footprint, offering customers the convenience of accessing our services at their doorstep or through our physical stores." Dr. Arpi Mehta, Co-Founder and CEO of Makeo said.
MakeO claims that its product line has served more than 150,000 customers to date.
"Their approach is truly unique. This technology platform combined with physical and digital expert access at every stage enables MakeO to provide customized dental and dermatology solutions to its customers." said Ashish Kacholia. Currently, MakeO has a network of more than 100 in-house dentists and dermatologists, as well as more than 25 flagship experience centers across major metropolitan areas.
