Silab Establishes New Subsidiary in Japan to Expand Business in Asia
Silab, a French manufacturer specializing in natural active ingredients for the cosmetics market, has opened a new commercial subsidiary in Japan.
The new company, named Silab North East Asia (NEA) KK, was officially open on November 1, 2023 and is Silab’s sixth commercial subsidiary.
Silab NEA KK is headquartered in Tokyo and is responsible for promoting and distributing Silab's natural active ingredients in Japan and maintaining customer relationships with Korean distributors.
The Silab NEA KK team is managed by Regional Sales Manager Jean-Baptiste Grieu. The company is considering adding team members and working with Japanese logistics companies to create local inventory.
“The various crises we have faced since 2020 have had a significant impact on markets, particularly in Asia. We have been in China since 2003 and in Singapore since 2013, we decided to strengthen our activities in North Asia by creating Silab North East Asia KK. Opening a commercial subsidiary in Japan is an obvious and necessary move to take over commercial activities from local distributors. ” says Jean-Philippe Cosson General Manager Sales - International subsidiaries - CSR at Silab.
International markets are key to Silab's growth, with 60% of the company's turnover coming from exports.
