The modification and supplement of the new national standard of Clethodim

 The State Administration for Market Regulation (Standardization Administration) approved the release of the recommended national standard "Clethodim" (standard number: GB/T 22614-2023), will be officially implemented from April 1, 2024, "Clethodim technical" (standard number: GB/T 22614-2008), "Clethodim EC" (standard number: GB/T 22615-2008) and other two standards will be abolished at the same time. The new national standard of "Clethodim" has been mainly modified and supplemented as follows:

1. The index of the quality fraction of Clethodim in the technical was changed. The original standard is ≥85.0%, and the new standard is ≥90.0%. 

2. The items, indexes and determination methods of acetone insoluble substances in the technical were deleted. 

3. The pH value index in the technical of Clethodim was changed. The original standard is 5.0 ~ 7.0, and the new standard is 4.0 ~ 6.0.

4. Increased the technical index of the TK of Clethodim. 37% specifications: mass fraction 37.0±1.8%, moisture ≤0.5%, pH 4.0 ~ 7.0; 70% specification: mass fraction 70.0±2.5%, moisture ≤0.5%, pH 4.0 ~ 7.0. 

5. Two specifications of 30% and 35% of the Clethodim EC were added. There are only three specifications of 120 g/L (13%), 240 g/L (26%) and 24% in the original standard of EC. 

6. The moisture index in the Clethodim EC was changed. The original standard is ≤0.4%, and the new standard is ≤0.8%.

7. Increased the item and index control of the lasting foaming property of Clethodim EC (foam volume 60/mL after 1 min). 

8. The method of determining the mass fraction of Clethodim was changed. 

9. Change the acceptance period of the original drug of Clethodim from 1 month to 6 months. 

10. The guarantee period of the quality of TK is 1 year.
