Modification and supplement of Bifenthrin EC by new national standard

The recommended national standard of "Bifenthrin EC" approved and issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation (Standardization Administration) (standard number: GB/T 22620-2023, instead of GB/T 22620-2008, Public website; https://openstd.samr.gov.cn/bzgk/gb/newGbInfo?hcno=758428A98B6D07B153DDFD8EC13E2593 and https://www.sdtdata.com/fx/fmoa /tsLibCard/195197.html). It will be officially implemented from June 1, 2024.

The new national standard of "Bifenthrin Emulsion" has mainly made the following modifications and supplements:

1. One type of product specification is reduced. The original standard included 25 g/L, 100 g/L and 10% three specifications, the new standard deleted the 10% specifications, only retaining 25 g/L and 100 g/L two specifications.

2. Changed the mass score and mass concentration control index of the 25 g/L specification. The original standard 25 g/L specification Bifenthrin mass fraction of 2.8±0.4%, mass concentration (20℃) of 25±4 g/L, the new standard 25 g/L specification Bifenthrin mass fraction of 2.8±0.28%, mass concentration (20℃) of 25±3 g/L.

3. Changed the quality score control index of 100 g/L specification. The mass fraction of Bifenthrin in the original 100 g/L specification was 11.0±1.0%, and the mass fraction of Bifenthrin in the new 100 g/L specification was 11.0±0.6%.

4. Changed the moisture control index of 25 g/L and 100 g/L specifications. The two specifications of the original standard require moisture ≤0.6%, and the two specifications of the new standard require moisture ≤3%.

5. The control item of the lasting foaming property of Bifenthrin EC (foam amount ≤40/mL after 1 min) and the determination method (according to GB/T 28137) were added.6. Added the pH value control item after heat storage (pH value after heat storage is still maintained at 4.0 ~ 7.0). 

7. The test interval requirements for low temperature stability and heat storage stability are deleted. The original standard requires that the low temperature stability and heat storage stability test be measured at least once every 3 months during normal production.

8. The liquid chromatography method for the determination of Bifenthrin mass fraction was added, and the gas chromatography method for the determination of Bifenthrin mass fraction was changed. 

9. Changed the measurement method of moisture, low temperature stability and heat storage stability test.

10. Added inspection rules. It is required that each batch of products should be inspected before leaving the factory, and after passing the inspection and issuing the certificate of qualification, they can leave the factory. Factory inspection items include appearance, Bifenthrin mass fraction, Bifenthrin mass concentration, moisture, pH value, emulsion stability, lasting foaming, any one of the items does not meet the requirements, should be judged that the batch of products unqualified, shall not leave the factory.

11. Changed the small package net content specification. The original standard includes 100 g (mL)/bottle, 250 g (mL)/bottle two specifications, the new standard includes 100 g (mL)/bottle, 200 g (mL)/bottle and 500 g (mL)/bottle three specifications.
