2024-01-24

Recently, ISO has provisionally approved two new pesticide active ingredients, Cinflubrolin and Cybenzoxasulfyl.

Cinflubrolin

Cinflubrolin is a Benzyl ether herbicide developed by Q KingAgroot. The CAS is 2892524-04-6, and the chemical name is2-[(2-bromo-6-fluorophenyl)methoxy]-1-methyl-4-(propan-2-yl)-7-oxabicyclo[2.2.1]heptane cybenzoxasulfyl。

Cinflubrolin is an analogue based on Cinmethylin. Cinmethylin is a benzyl ether herbicide developed by BASF with its unique chemical structure and novel mechanism of action, focusing on the control of resistant grass weeds. In 2020, Cinmethylin received the first new mechanism of action classification given by the International Herbicide Resistance Action Committee (HRAC) since 1985 as the first active ingredient in HRAC's "Group Q" or "Group 30", along with methiozolin, both benzyl ether compounds with (fatty acid thioesterase; FAT) inhibition. At present, the technical and formulation products have been registered in Australia, the United Kingdom and so on.

Cybenzoxasulfyl

Cybenzoxasulfyl is a racemic insecticide developed by Nihon Nohyaku, The development code is LTDNNI-2101, CAS is 2128706-04-5, and the chemical name is 2-[5-cyclopropyl-3-(ethylsulfonyl)-2-pyridinyl]-5-[(trifluoromethyl)sulfinyl]benzoxazole。

Cybenzoxasulfyl is an analogue based on oxazosulfyl. Oxazosulfyl is the first new Benzoxazole insecticide developed by Sumitomo Chemical in Japan. The development company speculates that its mechanism is novel. Oxazosulfyl has a broad insecticidal spectrum and can be applied to paddy, wheat, soybean and other crops. At present, Oxazosulfyl has been registered for paddy pest control in Japan.
