FMC launches Coragen® eVo, a highly concentrated Chlorantraniliprole formulation

Coragen® eVo, a new insecticide containing the active ingredient Rynaxypyr®, is available for use on tobacco, cabbage/brassica crops, potatoes, tomatoes, lettuce, sweet corn, alfalfa, strawberries and other vegetable crops. Coragen eVo is a new high-concentration formulation of Chlorantraniliprole.

The insecticide can quickly attack target pests, has insecticidal activity of egg larvae, larvae and adults, and can prolong residual control. The solution is the industry standard for lepidoptera pest management, as well as effective control of leaf mite larvae, Fordo melon beetles, and whitefly nymphs and other flouted pests on flouted crops.

Coragen® eVo has the same insecticidal profile and activity as Coragen (containing the Cyazypyr® active ingredient), but the active ingredient concentration is three times higher, which reduces the utilization rate and package size of the formulation product, thereby improving operational efficiency. The usual dose of Coragen eVo insecticide is 1.7 ounces per acre, equivalent to about 1 quart per 20 acres, and is easily mixed with other pesticides, nutrients, and excipients.

Strengthening existing technologies is another way FMC continues to bring innovation to the market and advance agriculture, said FMC's regional technical services manager for the United States. While Coragen has been a trusted crop protection tool for growers for many years, the oragen eVo offers the same residual control with a higher active ingredient load, while saving growers time and money by limiting the number of sprays within a season.

In addition, Coragen eVo has less impact on many important beneficial insects and is ideal for rotation use in integrated pest management programs. It works well with Avaunt® eVo insecticide, Exirel® insecticide (containing Cyazypyr® active ingredient) and Verimark® insecticide (containing Cyazypyr® active ingredient).
