According to the pesticide information network, a total of 489 pesticide products (including the 14th batch of published products) are currently registered on sugarcane, including 280 herbicides, 197 insecticides, 2 fungicides, and 10 plant growth regulators. In 2023, there are 38 pesticide products registered on sugarcane (including the 14th batch of publicized products), including 4 herbicides, 34 pesticides, and no fungicides and plant conditioners registered.


Herbicide 

 

The herbicides registered in sugarcane fields in 2023 are mainly used to control annual weeds, such as crab grass, Setaria viridis, goosegrass, moleplant seed, wild oats, eragrostis, barnyard grass, quinoa, etc. 

 

Insecticide 

 

The insecticides registered in sugarcane fields in 2023 are mainly used to control sugarcane bores and sugarcane beetle.

 

There are no fungicides and plant growth regulators registered on sugarcane in 2023. At present, there are more than 50 kinds of sugarcane diseases found in China, but there are only 2 fungicides, and all of them are used for the prevention and control of sugarcane bromeliad disease. According to the overall situation of sugarcane medicine at present, the products that can be used to control sugarcane diseases are very scarce.
