Bhuvana Nageshwaran joins Board of Directors of Research Institute for Fragrance

Ultra International, a leading player in the flavours and fragrances (F&F) industry, has announced that Ms. Bhuvana Nageshwaran, its Director – F&F, has been invited to join the Board of Directors of the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials, Inc. (RIFM).
RIFM is the international scientific authority for the safe use of fragrance materials. It generates, evaluates and distributes scientific data on the safety assessment of fragrance raw materials found in personal and household care products.
Mr. Jim Romine, President of RIFM said “it’s a wonder asset to have Bhuvana on our Board. She brings both insight and energy”. She was elected to the board on 27th September 2018.
Ms. Nageshwaran joined Ultra International in 1985 and she has spent more than 30 years in R&D and building skills with a particular focus on fragrance, flavours and essential oils. She underwent perfumery training at the Perfumery Education Centre, London and since then has attended various advanced courses of the British Society of Perfumers, including the Flavorist Training Programme sponsored by British Society of Flavorists and the School of Food Biosciences. She has gained extensive knowledge in essential oils by attending various study tours organised by IFEAT (International Federation of Essential Oils and Aroma Trade).
