Locus Agriculture launches 6 new biologics for furrow application and seed treatment
Locus Agriculture has made new progress in growing crops, announcing that it has added six new biologics to its Rhizolizer Duo product line. These biologics can be used in furrow application and seed treatment to meet the changing needs of row growers, seed treatment companies, agricultural supply retailers and distributors.
The six new products include three furrow biologics for corn, cotton and legumes, and three seed treatments for wheat, grain, soybeans and corn. The new products can be used directly on the farm or in seed production plants or local retail stores to process seeds for a variety of needs. These furrow application and seed treatments have important microbial strains and are an important class of biological formulations in agricultural cultivation.
Seed treatment plays a key role in today's agricultural practices, with approximately 150 million acres of U.S. farmland currently using treated seeds. The Rhizolizer Duo series of furrow application and seed treatments has multiple functions and advantages:
Endophytic bacteria increase crop productivity from the start of sowing
The Rhizolizer Duo series of biologics feature important endophytes that enter plant tissues and promote early growth and development while improving nutrient use efficiency. The use of these novel strains for seed treatment or furrow application lays a solid foundation for growing crops. Preliminary data show significant increases in crop yields, such as an average increase of 9.4 bushels per acre after corn furrow application.
A variety of applications to promote products
Agrobiologics are a big trend in 2024, but to achieve widespread adoption, they need to be integrated into current agricultural practices. Rhizolizer Duo of furrow applications and seed treatments are designed to blend seamlessly into any type of input application.
Carbon sequestration Expanded application of biologics in carbon agriculture
As part of its crop productivity benefits, the microbes in the new seed treatment agent can increase carbon sequestration.
Sustainability gives rise to natural seed treatment category
Locus AG's new biologics offer solutions to address environmental issues and the regulation of seed treatments. The microbial products produced by these fermentations are 100% natural. They meet the growing demand for environmentally effective agricultural inputs that meet environmental and regulatory requirements
