Adama's new active ingredient Feralla brings innovation to the European market for mollusc insecticides
On February 5, Adama announced plans to introduce a new authorized active ingredient, Feralla®, to the European market for mollusk insecticides.
Compared to existing iron phosphate products on the market, Feralla® based mollusk insecticide products can quickly stop eating and the product particles remain intact for a long time. Field trials have shown that the use of Feralla® products can accelerate the death of mollusc pests within three days of application, thus significantly reducing the damage caused by pest ingestion of crops during this period.
The Feralla® family of products will use Adama Desidro® technology's unique dosage forms and proprietary manufacturing processes to enhance palatability. Compared with iron phosphate products, improved palatability can further accelerate the efficacy of stopping food. Moreover, low concentrations of active ingredients help farmers achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, significantly reducing the intensity of feeding while increasing pest mortality.
