Drybar to open 26 stores in Qatar, Kuwait and UAE
The Drybar® brand continues its international expansion through a newly signed master franchise agreement with Lekhraib Rose LLC, bringing 26 Drybar stores to Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
The Drybar brand is part of the WellBiz Brands Inc. portfolio, which also includes beauty and wellness category leaders Amazing Lash Studio, Radiant Washing®, Elements Massage® and Fitness Together®. WellBiz Brands Inc. is a premier beauty and wellness franchise company with nearly 1,000 franchise locations worldwide and more than 300 in development.
"WellBiz Brands is excited to expand in the Middle East and bring 26 Drybar stores to beauty lovers," said Jeremy Morgan, CEO of WellBiz Brands Inc. "The influence of Western culture is a driver of growth. What consumers in these countries want is very similar to what consumers in the United States want: they want to take advantage of the self-service provided by Drybar stores in a warm and friendly environment where they can feel safe , happy and confident."
The master franchise agreement is part of WellBiz Brands’ efforts to expand the global reach of its portfolio of brands. The beauty industry in the Middle East alone is worth $40 billion and is expected to grow faster than anywhere else in the world. The latest report from global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company shows that the beauty industry is expected to grow at an annual rate of 12% by 2027.
According to the report, the Middle East is experiencing significant expansion due to the increasing purchasing power of local consumers. Rising disposable income and overall wealth, especially among the growing young urban middle class, are also creating opportunities for value-added beauty products that emphasize health and well-being.
The owner of Lekhraib Rose LLC, a woman who works in journalism and media relations in Washington, D.C., became familiar with the Drybar brand during a trip to the United States. As a regular, she developed a love for the brand and wanted to share it with other women in the Middle East. While visiting Drybar stores, she noticed that women left feeling more confident. This is something they don’t have in Qatar.
As the master franchisee, Lekhraib Rose LLC will open stores over the next 5 years. The current development plan is to open 6 Drybar stores in Qatar, 8 in Kuwait and 12 in the UAE. The first opening is tentatively scheduled for 2024.
