BASF and INEOS Automotive form global refinish and coating partnership

INEOS Automotive and BASF's coatings division have signed a development agreement for global refinish and coating projects. The two parties are committed to long-term strategic cooperation and are expected to exceed industry standards in vehicle body repair and touch-up painting. The partnership includes the provision of sustainable refinishing solutions, expertise and the latest digital color matching solutions and training.

Through its high-end automotive refinish brands Glasurit® and R-M®, BASF will provide expertise and coatings innovation to meet the needs of a global repair service network for INEOS Grenadier off-road vehicles, ensuring that the INEOS body shop network in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific maintains the highest level of the most sustainable and efficient repainting capabilities.

Ineos has been working with BASF Coatings since 2021 as its surface technology partner for its first off-road vehicle, the Grenadier, which is manufactured in Hambach, France. With the new agreement, BASF expands its cooperation with INEOS in bodywork and painting, as well as painting cooperation with INEOS for the Grenadier off-road vehicle and the newly launched Quartermaster dual-cab pickup truck model.
