With 5.44 million tonnes purchased, China has become the main supplier of fertilizers to India!
According to the website of the Russian satellite news agency, Indian customs data shows that China has become the main supplier of fertilizers to India, with Russia ranking second.
Data show that from January to December 2023, India purchased 5.44 million tons of fertilizer from China, an increase of 62% over the same period last year, so China has jumped to become India's largest supplier of fertilizer; Russia was second, with a 49 per cent increase in supply to 5.4 million tonnes. The top five countries also include Saudi Arabia (2.5 million tonnes), Oman (2.2 million tonnes) and Canada (1.2 million tonnes).
The report said that in 2023, China's fertilizer export revenue to India reached $2.59 billion, an increase of 12% over the previous year.
