Best Agrolife's acquisition of Sudarshan Farm Chemicals in India: New move to strengthen R&D and market position

Best Agrolife Ltd (BAL) has issued a circular to the exchange indicating that its board of Directors has approved a proposal to acquire Sudarshan Farm Chemicals India Pvt Ltd. (SFCL).

This strategic acquisition is designed to leverage SFCL's strong research and development capabilities, extensive intellectual property portfolio, and advanced integrated technology manufacturing knowledge. BAL plans to leverage SFCL's deep expertise to further strengthen and enhance its position in the industry by developing a unique manufacturing route for cost-competitive generic molecules.

The acquisition will give Best Agrolife access to the complete intellectual property portfolio of SFCL and its R&D division, further complementing and enhancing its R&D capabilities in Gajraula and Noida. BAL expects to further enhance its brownfield and greenfield technology capabilities through this acquisition and inject new vitality into the company's long-term growth.

As part of the merger, BAL will also acquire all SFCL brands, including "Sutathion", "Suphos", "Suchle" and "Sumidon". BAL plans to leverage these brands to further consolidate and expand its market position in the Central and southern regions
