Dow acquires Corteva's Plant in Mexico, adding Polyurethane business

Recently, Dow announced that it has formally acquired Codihu Corteva's Polyurethane plant in Tlascala, Mexico. This move not only enables Dow to expand its local Polyurethane production capacity and continue to meet downstream customer demand, but also reflects the multinational company's emphasis on and investment in important growth markets.

 

The acquisition will maintain Dow Polyurethane Systems' operations across all assets and services at the site and allow for continued growth in the high-value of Polyurethane market with a focus on ensuring safe and reliable production and delivery to continue to meet customer demand.

 

This acquisition not only reinforces the company's commitment to Mexico and its service industry, but more importantly sets the stage for the continued development of its Polyurethane business in this important growth market. Upon completion of the acquisition, Dow's Polyurethane capacity in the region will be further expanded, enabling it to increase its local supply capacity, better serve customers and capture market growth opportunities.
