Dow Chemical formulates new polyolefin elastomer artificial leather for automotive market
Dow Chemical has developed a breakthrough artificial leather solution based on polyolefin elastomers (POE) that addresses the needs of the automotive industry as it transitions to increasingly animal-free alternatives to leather products.
The POE alternative leather option has been commercialized by Chinese partner HIUV Materials Technology and has been qualified by an electric vehicle manufacturer for its automotive seating applications.
