BASF and ENN Energy sign 15-year natural gas supply contract for Zhanjiang Verbund site
BASF recently signed a 15-year contract with ENN Energy to purchase natural gas for its Zhanjiang Verbund site.
After the contract is signed, ENN Energy will invest in the construction of the necessary supporting natural gas gate stations and pipelines to ensure a stable supply of natural gas to BASF's Zhanjiang Verbund site. It will also further enhance the clean energy supply capacity of Donghai Island in Zhanjiang area.
"This is an important milestone for BASF in securing one of the energy sources required for the Zhanjiang Verbund site. Natural gas, as one of the important sources of fuel and raw materials, plays an important role in the energy and raw material balance of BASF's Zhanjiang Verbund site." Marko Murtonen, Senior Vice President of BASF's new integrated site in China said.
