Dr. Ibrahim's professional journey began at GSK, where she played a pivotal role in the development and global regulatory approval of dabrafenib/trametinib, a treatment for melanoma. During her tenure at Merck, she served as Vice President of Oncology Clinical Development, leading the development and execution of joint development strategies for Keytruda and multiple pipeline indications. Notably, her leadership resulted in the global registration approvals for Keytruda in advanced melanoma and resectable melanoma.


Under Dr. Ibrahim's guidance, her clinical development team achieved significant milestones in various cancer indications, including Merkel cell carcinoma, gastric cancer, biliary tract cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, resectable stage IIB or IIC melanoma, high microsatellite instability (MSI-H) colorectal cancer, pediatric type 1 neurofibromatosis (NF-1), and solid tumors with high tumor mutational burden (TMB-H), as well as global approvals for MSI-H/dMMR tumor indications. She also played a key role in developing collaborative partnerships with other companies.


In addition to her industry roles, Dr. Ibrahim has made significant contributions as a medical lecturer at Harvard Medical School and a attending physician at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She also served as a visiting assistant professor at the Perelman School of Medicine/Abramson Cancer Center. Dr. Ibrahim's leadership skills and ability to foster a culture of learning and talent development have been instrumental in her success as a leader.


Dr. Ibrahim holds a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Rutgers University and a Doctor of Medicine degree from MCP-Hahnemann/Drexel College of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency training at Tufts Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital, with a focus on hematologic and solid tumor oncology. She is licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania and is board-certified in Medical Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
