Rallis commissions new automated 8,000 ton water-soluble fertilizer plant

ECHEMI 2024-05-07

Rallis India Limited, a Tata company and a leader in India's agri-inputs industry, announced the establishment of an 8,000 tonne (MT) automated water-soluble fertilizer (WSF) plant in Akola, Maharashtra.

This strategic move underscores Rallis’ commitment to innovation, increasing agricultural productivity and advancing sustainable agricultural practices.

Gyanendra Shukla, Managing Director and CEO, Rallis India said, "Water-soluble fertilizers are a key element in an ‘Integrated Plant Nutrient Management System’, a sustainable approach to complete and balanced crop nutrition. This has also been confirmed by extensive research over decades. WSF products are tailored for foliar spray and fertigation applications. These products will play a key role in improving soil health, enhancing nutrient uptake and promoting balanced crop nutrition."

Rallis’ investment in the WSF facility reflects its commitment to technological advancement and operational efficiency improvements. The company aims to become one of the top three players in the custom WSF business in India by FY28.
